Terence Robinson enlisted into the Royal Army Pay Corps in November 1980.

Pte ‘Robbo’ Robinson was attached to 29 (Corunna) Battery (Bty), 4th Field Regiment Royal Artillery when they were deployed to the South Atlantic in 1982 on Operation Corporate. 29 Bty sailed south onboard the MV Norland with 2 PARA. as part of the task force to retake the Falkands.

Seconded to 2 PARA, to become gun group/stretcher party section commander, L/Cpl Robinson was with the group who brought C/Sgt ‘Doc’ Findlay down off Wireless Ridge. He returned to the Gunners, two days after 2 PARA got into Port Stanley.

In October 1984 he was attached to 1 PARA and completed P Company. After recovery from an injury he passed his military parachute training in February 1986.

During his military career Sgt Robinson visited the Falkland Islands twice and served in Kenya, Norway, Germany, Canada, Northern Ireland and Cyprus.

After discharge in August 1994, he re-enlisted into 63 (SAS) Sig Sqn TA unit until April 1996.
