Corporal William G V Engeldow

William G V Engeldow, son of John and Maud Engeldow; husband of Mary Engeldow, of Sheffield. He enlisted in the Army 3 April 1940.

He volunteered for the airborne forces from The Beds and Herts Regiment. 

William became a member of R Coy 1st Para Bn and was killed in action during The Battle of Mansour 3 February 1943.

His death is commemorated on face 34 of The Medjez el Bab memorial, CWGC in Tunisia.
