Sapper Robert A Bean

Sapper Robert Arthur Bean was the son of Arthur and Lucy Bean, of Colby, Norfolk, and the husband of Olive May Bean, of Aldborough, Norfolk. He served with 591 (Antrim) Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers and took part in the Rhine Crossing, during Op Varsity.

Sapper Bean died on 24 March 1945, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, at Kleve, Germany.
