Signalman Kevin Whyte

18 Feb 1977 -

Kevin Whyte joined the Royal Signals on 8 August 1993 as a Telecommunications Operator (Telegraph), going through the Army Apprentice College in Harrogate, before volunteering for service with Airborne Forces, with 216 Parachute Signal Squadron.

Kevin passed 'P' Company 7/95 at Catterick Garrison and completing the Basic Parachute Course at RAF Brize Norton in January/February 1996.

In September 1997 Signalman Whyte transferred to the Royal Navy, as an Operator Mechanic (Communications), serving onboard HMS Cardiff, before volunteering for service with Commando Forces, passing the All Arms Commando Course in 2000, also.passing the Royal Marine Reconnaissance Leader Course, serving with 148 Commando Battery, 29 Commando Regiment as a Royal Navy Commando. 

Kevin left the military in late 2002, briefly serving as a reservist, before embarking on a career in security. Kevin now works as a printer and resides in Lincolnshire.
