Corporal Kenneth A G McDonald

Kenneth Albert George McDonald was the son of Harold George and Winifred Elsie McDonald; husband of Doris May McDonald, of Southall, Middlesex, he enlisted in the Royal Engineers and volunteered for airborne forces.

Corporal McDonald successfully completed parachute training at RAF Ringway and was posted to 286 (Airborne) Field Park Company, Royal Engineers, and took part in Operation Overlord (Normandy).

Cpl McDonald died of wounds on 21 June 1944, age 26, and was buried in Ranville War Cemetery, Calvados, France.
