Private Dugald McKinnon served with Medium Machine Gun Platoon, 2 PARA.
Pte ‘Duggie’ McKinnon died in a parachuting accident during Exercise "Quatre Bras 111" in the UK on 19 August 1955.

OBITUARY
We regret to announce the death of Pte."Duggie" McKinnon in a parachuting accident. "Duggie" was one of the most popular members of the Platoon and will be sorely missed. The funeral was a private one, but a party of us managed to attend and pay our last tributes, afterwards accepting the hospitality offered us by his family. To his family and many friends in Barrhead we offer our deepest sympathy and condolences.
