Private David Lawrence was the son of Mr and Mrs D K Lawrence, and husband of Marion Lawrence, of Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He served with 5th (Scottish) Parachute Battalion and took part in the Italian campaign.
Private Lawrence died on 15 December 1943, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy.
