2nd Battalion 503 Parachute Infantry Regiment US Army

The 2nd Battalion 503 Parachute Infantry Regiment United States Army served alongside British Airborne Forces during the Second World War.

The Battalion joined 1st Parachute Brigade at Bulford in the UK during Summer 1942. Later that year, 2nd Bn 503 Parachute Infantry Regiment were one of the four Battalions of 1st Parachute Brigade which jumped into action in North Africa in November 1942.

Lt Col Edson Raff was the Commanding Officer while the unit operated under British Command.
