Driver William Richard Preston

Driver William Richard Preston was the son of Wilson and Annie Preston, and husband of Alice Preston, of Blackpool, Lancashire. He served with 250 (Airborne) Light Composite Company, Royal Army Service Corps and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died of wounds on 1 October 1944, aged 31 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
