Private William P Sargent

Private William Philip Sargent attended Parachute Training Course number 75 at RAF Ringway between 26 July and 6 August 1943. His report states that he was a 'keen hard worker - did very well'.

Pte Sargent served with 224 Parachute Field Ambulance RAMC and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.

Pte Sargent died on 6 June 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
