Lance Corporal William Marsland

Lance Corporal William Marsland, son of Samuel and Catherine Marsland, of Denton, Lancashire, served with 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Border Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died on 25 September 1944, aged 30 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
