Bombardier William H Bradley

Bombardier William Henry Bradley was the son of R Walter and Minnie Mabel Bradley, and husband of Minnie Amy Bradley, of North Harrow, Middlesex. He served with B Troop, 1st Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery, Royal Artillery and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He is thought to have been one of the soldiers from the Battery to reach the vicinity of Arnhem Bridge, and was killed during the Battle.

Bombardier Bradley died on 19 September 1944, aged 37 years old. He was originally given a Field Burial in the garden of bungalow on the Utrechtseweg, before being reinterred at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
