Private Walter Firth

Walter Firth served with The Royal Sussex Regiment before volunteering for airborne forces and joining 4th Parachute Battalion, HQ Coy.

Tragically he was killed on a training exercise, as a result of a parachute malfunction, on Salisbury Plain on 20 July 1942.

Walter is buried in Calverley Parish Church Cemetery, Pudsey.
