Lance Corporal Vivian Gedney

Lance Corporal Vivian Gedney, son of Edgar Thomas and Gladys Mary Gedney, of Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, served with 1st Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died on 19 September 1944, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
