Craftsman Vincent J Harvey

Vincent John Harvey was born in North London and lived in Plymouth. He enlisted in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment and volunteered for Airborne forces.

Craftsman Harvey successfully completed glider training and was posted to 1st (Airborne) Divisional Workshop, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and took part in Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).

Cfn Harvey was killed in action on 21 September 1944, aged 24. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Groesbeek Memorial to the missing.
