Private Valentine Lynch, son of William and Elizabeth Lynch, of Edge Hill, Liverpool, served 4th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Italian campaign.
Private Lynch died on 20 January 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy.
