Private Thomas Henry Ward was born in 1926 to Alexander and Henrietta Ward of Tooting, Surrey.
Private Ward volunteered for The Parachute Regiment and successfully completed his parachute training at Ringway on 13 December 1941. He was posted to the 4th Battalion, Parachute Regiment.
He died on 16 May 1944, aged 18. He is now buried at Cassino War Cemetery, Italy.
