Thomas Glyndwr Morgan was the son of David and Mary Morgan and the husband of Meirion Morgan, of Llanelly. He enlisted into the Royal Artillery and volunteered for Airborne forces.
Lance Bombardier Morgan successfully completed his glider training and was posted to 1 Airlanding Light Regiment, Royal Artillery, and took part in Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).
L/Bdr Morgan was killed in action on 18 September 1944, aged 30, and was given a field burial in a field beside Klein Amerikaweg, north of Heelsum, Oosterbeek, and was re-interred to Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery on 31 October 1945.
