Private Thomas G Miller

Thomas George Miller was the son of Edward James and Grace Alma (Gay) Miller, of Chatham, he enlisted in the General Service Corps and volunteered for airborne forces.

Private Miller successfully completed glider training and was posted to the 12th (Airborne) Battalion, Devonshire Regiment and took part in Operation Varsity (Rhine Crossing).

Pte Miller was killed in action on 25 March 1945, aged 34, and was given a field burial at Kapellen, Germany and was re-interred to Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Germany, on 19 November 1946.
