Private Thomas Charles Leary, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Leary, of Ashton, Preston, Lancashire, served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the D-Day landings in Normandy, during Op Overlord.
Private Leary died on 6 June 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Ranville Churchyard, Normandy.
