Lance Corporal Terry P Rensch

31 May 1956 -

Terry joined 10 Para January 1974.

He successfully completed  P Coy in Germany at Sennelargar. 

Terry first served with 1 Coy in  White City, but was then posted with a few men into Signals Plt, HQ Coy White City. As this platoon was in need of more men.

Terry got his wings in October 1974 at Abingdon. He stayed on an extra 2 weeks and trained with the regulars and did the extra night jump. C/sgt Roy Knox was Sig regular from 1 para.

This unit then moved over to the Marine's drill hall, at the other side of the parade ground with 1 Coy. The old White City stadium was still there at the time.

In 1975 Terry was sent on an RSI course at Warminster with Sgt Clayton and L/cpl Radley for a signal instructors course.

Terry went to Arnhem twice for the memorial jump 75 & 76. He also took part in a  German Para course at Depholz. This included 10 jumps over  2 weeks.

Terry then went to Thetford, Catterick, Volgasang as well as Sennelarger.  Capt John Power was RSO.

Terry took part in the  Fleet Street celebrations during HM Silver Jubilee. The Gurkas lined Aldwyc and The Strand.
