Private Sydney Simpson

Private Sydney Simpson, son of William and Ellen Simpson, of Walthamstow, Essex and husband of Alice Adelaide Simpson, also of Walthamstow, served with 7th (Airborne) Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers. He fought during the Battle of Arnhem on Op Market Garden.

He died between 24-25 September 1944 aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
