Lance Corporal Snelgrove served with the Coldstream Guards. He began his Guards career in 1947 and served until 1950 with the Coldstream Guards in deployments to Malaya, the Canal Zone, British Army of the Rhine (BAOR) and Aden.
He transferred to No 1 (Guards) Independent Parachute Company in 1950, and served three years as part of the Coy.
He remains active in the veterans community, as part of the Guards Parachute Association.
