Lieutenant Stanley Martin Culverwell

Lieutenant Stanley Martin Culverwell was the son of Capt Joseph Stanley Culverwell, who served with the Indian Army, and Helen Mary Culverwell, of Cambridge (who earned a B.A., Hons. from Cantabury).

He served with 2nd Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden. He died on 22 September 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
