Gunner Stanley Briggs

Stanley Briggs was the son of Walter and Mary Briggs, of Mexborough, Yorkshire.

Gunner Briggs was posted to 1st Airlanding Light Regiment when serving with the Royal Artillery during World War II.

He died as a result of an accident while serving as a member of No 1 Battery during the Italian campaign.

Gunner Briggs died on 7 October 1943, aged 24 years, and is buried at Bari War Cemetery, Italy.
