Sergeant Stanley Bralee

Stanley Bralee was the son of Charles and Ada Bralee, of Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He enlisted in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, and volunteered for airborne forces.

Sergeant Bralee successfully completed parachute training at RAF Ringway and also completed the Glider Pilot training and was posted to F Squadron, 14 Flight, The Glider Pilot Regiment, and took part in the second lift, Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).

Sgt Bralee died of wounds on 18 September 1944, aged 20, and is commemorated on the Groesbeek Memorial to the missing.
