Sidney F Major served with 1st Airborne Divisional Signals.
On 17 September 1944, men of 1st Airborne Divisional Signals deployed to Arnhem for Op Market Garden in glider and parachute formations from RAF Down Ampney.
Sgt Major was later taken as a PoW and sent to Stalag XIB in Fallingbostel.
