My father's best friend. Spoke a lot about him. Every Rememberance Sunday while my dad was still alive, he would put a wooden cross with Sid's name on it. Also in 1984, 1994 he went to Arnhem to put a wreath on his grave. He also did this in May 2002 as he died in the July. Best mates together again.

My father (Maurice Watson "Ginge") and Sid were good friends. He spoke a lot about him. Every Rememberance Sunday until Ginge died we signed a wooden cross in memory of Sid. Also in 1969, 1984 and 1994 on the anniversary of the landings, he went to Oosterbeek cemetery to put some flowers at Sid's grave. Dad's last visit to Arnhem in May 2002 he repeated this gesture. Sadly, Ginge died 2 months later in July 2002.
