Gunner Seth Lovell

21 Sep 1944

Seth Lovell was the son of Albert and Blanche May Lovell, of Wrexham, Denbighshire. He enlisted in the General Service Corps and volunteered for Airborne forces.

Gunner Lovell successfully completed glider training and was posted to 2 Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery, Royal Artillery, and took part in Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).

Gnr Lovell was killed in action on 21 September 1944, aged 22. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Groesbeek Memorial to the missing.
