Driver Samuel E Harding

Samuel Evan Harding enlisted into The General Service Corps before volunteering for airborne forces in 1944.

Driver Harding qualified as a military parachutist on course 132 which ran at RAF Ringway in September 1944 and was then was posted to No 1 Parachute Platoon, 716 (Airborne) Light Composite Company RASC.

He saw active service in The Ardennes and on The Rhine Crossing, he was with Driver Pickering when he died on 24 March 1945.

Samuel Harding now lives in Australia.
