Corporal Ronald Hart

Ronald Hart enlisted in 1959 into 16th Independent Parachute Brigade Signals Squadron.

After completing his parachute training course at No 1 Parachute Training School RAF Abingdon his was transferred to 216 (Parachute) Signals Squadron.

Cpl Hart served as a radio operator until 1968.

He then served for five years with The Royal Air Force on airborne radar.

Ron and I first met in basic training where we we matched off in the inter troop boxing. After knocking each other about we became the best of friends. We did trade training together at Newark. After we came across a poster for parachute training we both did "P" company and joined 216 pars sigs in late 1959
