Trooper Ronald Greenwood

Trooper Ronald Greenwood was the son of Wilfrid and Lily Greenwood, of Todmorden, Lancashire, and husband of Edith Greenwood, of Walsden, Todmorden. He served with 6th Airborne Armoured Recce Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps. He took part in the Normandy campaign, during Op Overlord.

Trooper Greenwood died on 26 August 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at St Desir War Cemetery, near Lisieux, Caen.
