Private Robin Cavalie Britnell was the son of Francis Cavalie Courthose Gow Gregor Britnell and Eve Lilian Britnell, of Abbey Wood, Kent. He served with 4th Parachute Battalion and took part in the North African campaign.
Private Britnell died on 11 March 1943, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia.
