Private Robert McNally served with The Royal Army Ordnance Corps (RAOC) and was attached to the 4th/6th Parachute Battalion from November 1947 until he was demobbed in July 1948.
During this period he served with 4th/6th Para Bn in Lübeck in Schleswig-Holstein with BAOR (British Army of the Rhine).
