Private Robert L Kerr

Private Robert Learmont Kerr was the son of George and Elizabeth Kerr, of Hawick, Roxburghshire, and husband of Lilian Kerr, of Hawick. He served with 7th (Airborne) Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died on 29 September 1944, aged 36 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
