Richard Teevan enlisted from Leven, Fife into the Junior Parachute Company in Jan 1980, he was a member of 45 then 44 Platoon.

Pte Teevan passed P Coy & advance Wales with 465 Platoon but as he was only 16.5 years old he was to young to Parachute. Pte Teevan returned to Browning Barracks Aldershot and was employed in Recruit Company stores until he was old enough to Parachute at aged 17yrs.

Pte Teevan passed out with 468 Platoon in 1981 and was posted to C Coy 1 Para in Edinburgh, Sgt Teevan served in MMG Pl before being posted to Depot Para until 1994 at Browning Barracks Aldershot and ATR Lichfield.

He was then posted to 2 Para COP (Close Observation Platoon) in Palace Barracks Belfast, when Sgt Teevan was posted to ACIO (Army Careers Information Office) Wolverhampton until posted back to 2 Para as a C/sgt in 1998.

In 2 Para C/sgt Teevan served in HQ Company until promotion to WO2 CSM HQ Coy. WO2 Teevan also served as Unit Welfare Officer 2 Para.

 

WO2 Teevan left in 2004.
