Private Richard Dennis Horton, son of Alfred Albert and Fanny Georgina Horton, of Aston, Birmingham, served with 12th (Yorks) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Rhine Crossing, during Op Varsity.
Private Horton died on 24 March 1945, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Kleve, Germany.
