Reuben James Trim, son of Reuben James and Daisy Trim and husband of Queenie Elizabeth Trim, of Lambeth, London, enlisted into the 10 Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment and then volunteered for the airborne forces.
Private Trim attended the 4th advanced parachute course at RAF Ringway from 3 to 7 February 1942 and was then posted to 3rd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment and took part in Operation Torch in North Africa.
Pte Trim was Killed in Action on 20 December 1942, aged 26. He is commemorated on the Medjez-El-Bab memorial.
