Private Reginald A Russell

Reginald Albert Russell was the son of George and Jane Russell; husband of Theresa Mary Russell, of Kentish Town, London. He enlisted in the Devonshire Regiment, and volunteered for airborne forces.

Pte Russell successfully completed glider training and was posted to 12th (Airborne) Battalion, Devonshire Regiment, and took part in operation Overlord (Normandy).

Pte Russell was killed in action on 13 June 1944, age 29, and was buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Calvados, France.
