Raymond Donald Parry enlisted into the General Service Corps and volunteered for The Parachute Regiment in 1945.
He attended Parachute Training course number 161 at RAF Ringway between 14 and 30 April. His course report states: 'keen and attentive. An average performer'. On completion, he was posted to the 1st Parachute Battalion.
