Peter Durling followed his two elder brothers Michael and Anthony (Tony), and joined Junior Parachute Regiment 1972, at Malta Barracks, age 15.
In 1974 he passed P Coy with 401 Platoon. He sadly had to leave immediately afterwards due to personal circumstances. Before getting a chance to take part in Parachute Jump Instruction at RAF Abingdon. So unfortunately never got to join a battalion.
