Patrick (Pat) Watt Scott was the son of Allan H and Margaret A Scott, of Kirremuir, Angus, he enlisted in the General Service Corps, and volunteered for airborne forces.
Private Scott successfully completed his parachute training at RAF Ringway, and was posted to 195 Airlanding Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps, and took part in Operation Overlord (Normandy).
Pte Scott was killed in action on 9 June 1944, aged 19, and was given a field burial at Longueval, and was re-interred to Ranville War Cemetery, Calvados, France, on 2 June 1945.
