Pat served as a Corporal in the Irish Army and joined the British Army in late 45.

He served in India, Palestine Germany, the UK, Malaya and Korea. He was referred to in a website by a Danish Bombardier taking a party to Quetta in 1946 as 'the most courageous person I know' which made me very proud of my late brother.
