Signalman Patrick M Alvarado

Patrick Melicco Alvarado was the son of Teresa Alvarado, of Edgbaston, Birmingham. He enlisted in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment and volunteered for airborne forces.

Signalman Alvarado successfully completed parachute training at RAF Ringway and was posted to 6th Airborne Division Signals, Royal Corps of Signals. He took part in Operation Overlord (Normandy Landings).

Sigmn Alavarado died of wounds on 2 August 1944, aged 22, and was buried at Ranville War Cemetery.
