Lance Corporal Patrick Harrington, son of John and Ellen Harrington, of Durrus, Co Cork, Irish Republic, served with 11th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Lance Corporal Harrington died on 20 September 1944, aged 25 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
