Lieutenant-Colonel Michael J Lock

Mike Lock enlisted into the RAOC in 1963, and after passing P Coy in 1964, served in various airborne units including 16 Heavy Drop Coy, Cyclops Squadron, and the RAC Para Sqn.

He later transferred to the Royal Army Pay Corps and was commissioned in September 1978.

He received a mention in despatches in 1983 for actions in Northern Ireland.

Later in his career Mike held a number of staff posts and finally retired from the Army on 1 November 1994 having reached the rank of Lt Col.
