Private Matthew Whitehead is serving with Airborne Forces as part of C (Bruneval) Coy, The 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment (2 PARA).
Pte Whitehead joined the Parachute Regiment in 2009, training at ITC Catterick before passing out in March 2010. After completing his training, he was posted to 2 PARA, and deployed to Afghanistan in late 2010 for the Op Herrick XIII.
