Private Mark P Dollery

Mark Palmer Dollery was the son of Mark Palmer and Florence (Bradley) Dollery; husband of Florence Mary Charlotte (Sewell) Dollery. Married 26 December 1937. He enlisted in the Royal Artillery, and volunteered for airborne forces.

Private Dollery successfully completed glider training and was posted to 2nd (Airborne) Battalion, Ox and Bucks Light Infantry, and took part in Operation Varsity (Rhine Crossing).

Pte Dollery was killed in action on 26 March 1945, aged 34, and was given a field burial at Hamminkeln, Germany and was re-interred to Reichswald Forest War Cemetery on 23 April 1947.
