This is my grandfather, Leonard John Freestone, who sadly passed away when I was a teenager in the early 1990's. He rarely spoke about what he did, but my father recalls him mentioning being involved in commando raids to blow up ball bearing factories and also a commando raid to capture the Prinz Eugen Battleship. He took the Naval ensign from the Prinz Eugen and it was stored in their attic but was eventally eaten by moths and my grandmother threw it away!
