Kenneth William Green was the son of William and Lillian Green, of Walsall, Staffordshire. He enlisted in the General Service Corps, and volunteered for airborne forces.
Sergeant Green successfully completed Glider Pilot training and was posted to C Squadron, The Glider Pilot Regiment, and took part in Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).
Sgt Green was killed in action on 19 September 1944, aged 22, and is commemorated on the Groesbeek Memorial to the missing.
